The Spanish Chair is masterly interpretation of a traditional type of chair found in Spain's medieval furniture. Mogensen modernised the design in 1958, and retained the important broad armrests that give the chair character and provide a practical place to put a glass or cup.
Comprised of solid wood, metal buckles, and saddle leather. Mogensen combined this notion with his earlier works and signature functionalism. The wooden construction of the Spanish Chair is formed with geometrical precision, achieving a sturdy design with exceptional durability and enduring character.
