Inspired by one of the greatest lighting achievements of the 20th century, the original of this classic 1925 design was the result of Poul Henningsen's mission to create gentle lighting and avoid glare. As such, the light source is completely invisible, because it is hidden within the shade. The light is diffused through the opal glass lampshades, which are arranged in a logarithmic spiral, with a 40 watt candelabra bulb at the center. This piece emits soft downward illumination throughout the room making it an ideal option for a bedside table lamp, or a working desk lamp.
